BUILDINGS & GROUNDS COORDINATOR

REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITES AND QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Ability to supervise and coordinate in the maintenance, preventative maintenance and repair of school and campus facilities, grounds and equipment
  • Ability to supervise maintenance and custodial staff and oversee their work schedule
  • Evaluate the maintenance and custodial staff on an annual basis
  • Work directly with outside contracted services. Procure goods and services required for facility maintenance, coordinate work with vendors and contractors as needed
  • Oversee the work order and request system; including assigning maintenance work orders in a prioritized sequence and following them from start to finish
  • Maintain maintenance/custodial stock inventory
  • Act as a representative for School Safety Committee and advise the committee
  • Assist with preparation of annual budget and recommend and budget for appropriate necessary changes and updates to school properties
  • Have a proficiency in technology
  • Have an understanding of PA state regulatory building codes for PA schools; assist with bidding specifications as necessary for updates as per code requirements
  • Have basic knowledge of HVAC, refrigerant recovery, carpentry, masonry, key control, locks, building security, electric systems including power distribution, pneumatics, plumbing, asbestos regulations, fire suppression systems and local ordinances
  • Have knowledge of use of proper chemicals for cleaning specifically in school setting and knowledge on storage of those chemicals as per Safety Data Sheets
  • Must be able to take direction from the Administrative Director and have effective communication skills with administrative team
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and mandatory Pennsylvania Department of Education clearances (FBI Fingerprinting Act 114, Child Abuse Clearance Act 151 and PA State Criminal Background Clearance Act 34)

 

STARTING: Spring 2024

SALARY:  $70,000 Plus Health/Dental/Vision Insurance; Retirement Plan; Paid Time Off

Instructional Assistants / Substitute Instructors

Assist vocational instructors in secondary classroom settings and lab activities.  Successful candidates will have experience in trade areas and be available to work between the hours of 7:00 am to 1:00 pm on school days. Rate of pay is $17.00 per hour plus individual medical benefits.
