What is Forbes Road CTC?
Forbes Road Career and Technology Center provides quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) to high school students and adults east of Pittsburgh in Allegheny County. High school students in grades 9-12 from the following school districts can choose to attend either half day or full day.

Allegheny Valley | East Allegheny | Gateway | Highlands | Penn Hills | Plum Borough | Riverview | Wilkinsburg | Woodland Hills

Is Forbes Road CTC right for your student?
Traditional colleges used to be the only route toward gainful employment. Over the past few decades vocational schools have been rapidly gaining popularity. Today, the average student has more options than their parents and grandparents did.

College may be an excellent option for those who are able to acquire the funding needed and can afford to spend four years in college. Forbes Road CTC offers many articulated credits to help give our students an academic edge before they enter. The articulated credits can also shorten the length of college as well as save money.

Unfortunately; a growing problem is young adults graduating from college with tens of thousands of dollars of debt, and they are unable to find good paying jobs.

College is not for everyone, and a Technical School can provide students with excellent trade skills so they can find well paying jobs even right out of High School. Forbes Road CTC provides students with the skills they need to be successful in their chosen career whether they continue on to college or not.
